What's the Lone Wolf Pool League?
What is the Lone Wolf Pool League (LWPL)?
The Lone Wolf Pool League (LWPL) is a new billiards league built by the players, for the players who don't want to deal with the hassle of keeping teams together. No Annual Membership Fee. All LWPL schedules, stats, and standings will be available on the FargoRate app. 80% of nightly cost goes to session pot and 20% goes to operating cost. Rules are WPA, all racks report to FargoRate, handicapped divisions use the FargoRate handicap system, LEAGUE NIGHTS LAST LESS THAN 2 HOURS, less sandbagging with the FargoRate system as they have to take a loss, and PRIZE MONEY OR TRIPS PAID OUT AT THE END OF EVERY SESSION!!! Our biggest focus here at LWPL is building player feedback into the structure of the league so that it will be and always be for the player, by the player!
What does "player feedback built into league structure" mean?
One of the ways we currently do this is with our session meeting and player feedback throughout the session. Throughout the current session players have a say on the next sessions cost, formats, rules, and more. Also, before week 1 matches of any session, in our session meeting we cover the number of players, nightly cost, and session prize money. Equipped with this information, if players decide for any reason they would like to vote on changing the nightly cost up or down, they will be allowed to, as long as there are no player objections and the changes don't exclude any signed up player. We understand that at times, many of us play more than 1 night a week and may enjoy a lower cost night, other times we may want a bigger prize fund. The choice is yours. For the player, by the player! Minor details of current session may also be brought up and voted on if the players see fit. Keeping true to our core values, we will continue to look for more ways to build player feedback into the league without sacrificing quality or predictability.
